This post is all being more feminine and embracing all girlie and beauty-related things.

If I had to describe femininity in one word, it would be ‘magic’. It’s soft yet strong, intuitive yet bold, and endlessly captivating.
But what does it mean to be feminine?
I believe it involves doing things that help you accept yourself and bloom more and more as a woman.
It’s about connecting with your unique energy as a woman, and letting yourself do things that make you feel beautiful inside out.
As women, we are naturally born to embrace our femininity, but there are nuances and layers to it that can be a bit hard to get right.
If you’ve been yearning to explore your feminine side, then this post is right for you.
Here are 14 top tips (with some gems from my own life) on how to be more feminine and channel your inner goddess energy.
11 Ways To Be More Feminine
1. Practice Skincare Every Day
Radiant skin is one of the most empowering accessories a woman can wear.
Now, I believe that good and healthy skin is the natural mode of every woman, but dust, pollution, and hormone can mask this healthy skin.
Problems like acne, pigmentation, and scars can make it hard to believe in the power of skincare, but it really is your best bet to giving yourself the ultimate feminine glow.
The process of taking care of your skin is feminine in itself is very gentle and nurturing.
That is the only intention I keep in mind while following my skincare routine, and it pays off over time. But when I go off the routine, I again start getting skin issues.
So, regular skincare is a must. You only need to follow the basics, ie., cleansing, moisturizing, and then layering up with sunscreen with SPF 50.
You can add a touch of glam with a brightening face serum, an a hydrating mask once a week, and a jade roller.
I use an ice roller first thing in the morning after cleansing as it makes my skin really rosy and glowy.
When your skin feels fresh and glowing, so does your confidence, and that’s a vibe everyone will notice, including your feminine self.

2. Buy Clothes That Feel Good
Wearing bad clothes is a sure-fire way to kill your femininity. When I say ‘bad’, I don’t mean bad trends or odd choices. I mean clothes that make you feel bad.
Throughout my teen years, I hid my body behind baggy and ill-fitting clothes. There is nothing wrong with wearing those type of clothes, but they didn’t really make me feel good.
And this is the reason I always felt like a tomboy, so far away from the feminine energy that I embody now.
So, what changed? I started buying clothes that genuinely made me feel pretty, and said goodbye to every single piece of clothing that made me feel not good.
This can be hard initially, but keep telling yourself that you deserve to feel pretty whenever you go out to shop.
Realize that you don’t have to fit into clothes; the clothes need to fit you. So, buy a size bigger or go smaller without any shape, whatever flatters your body, and own your look!

3. Keep Yourself Well-Groomed
These days, makeup has become a huge part of every woman’s lifestyle. But to be more feminine, it is grooming that you first need to focus on.
This includes getting regular haircuts and trims, keeping your nails clean, shaping your eyebrows, and maintaining oral hygiene.
These habits keep you polished and also make you feel amazing, regardless of whether you’re wearing makeup or not.
Other things that you should take care of are removing hair, especially from body parts that are prone to sweating.
You asbolutely do not need to shave every inch of your body, but I do think being hairless in some areas (like your legs) can make you feel smooth and pretty in your skin.
Use a quality razor or an epilator, use a shaving gel while shaving, and do not forget to moisturize afterward.

4. Wear Dresses More Often
If I had to pick a clothing that is the epitome of femininity, it would be dresses. I mean, they have been around for ages, and for good reason.
Whenever I look up feminine artwork on Pinterest, I find women in dresses in different kinds of setting, and they look so so good.
There is something about slipping into a dress that makes you feel like you can conquer the world (which you totally can, woman).
So, make sure you have some dresses in your wardrobe, like flowy maxis, cute sundresses, and denim dresses.
Explore neutral tones, soft florals, and bright colors to find styles that make you feel most confident.
And don’t just buy them and forget. Dresses can be worn in every season and they’ll make you feel versatile and effortlessly beautiful.
Also, don’t forget to twirl in your dress, because life is better when you twirl (fact).

5. Wear Perfume To Be More Feminine
Okay, so this is something I’ve recently realized, which is that smelling good makes me feel super feminine in my body.
Scent has a powerful way of leaving a lasting impression.
And I really don’t see why you should not wear a scent that screams ‘This is me’ to you and the world (unless you’re allergic, of course).
For about a year, I stuck to only one perfume thinking it could be my signature scent, but I now have three bottles that I reserve for different ocassions.
I think this is better because with every perfume you use, you can slip into a different feminine form.
Like, you can have a classy perfume for work, have a subtle scent for home, and wear something bolder when going out with friends or to events.
My going-out perfume is Gingham from Bath & Body Works:

When I go on vacation, I take the Fiji Sunshine Guava-Tini from Bath & Body Works:

And my everyday perfume love is the Waikiki Beach Coconut, again from Bath & Body Works:

Whether you prefer floral, fruity, or musky notes, a spritz of perfume will give you the finishing touch to any look.

6. Invest In Accessories
What’s the cherry on top of any feminine outfit? Accessories, of course!
Now, let me just profess by saying I did not touch accessories for a long time while teaching myself how to dress more feminine, but once I slowly started wearing some, it’s like the final pieces of the picture fell into place.
Accessories can make a plain outfit shine, enhance an already classy look, and make you feel like you have your life together.
Some neckpieces, rings, bracelets, and earrings. That’s all you really need in your collection, and you can wear them on every outfit (even at home).
Look at my classy ring collection:

You can also play with scarves, belts, handbags, and hair accessories (they’re so cute).
It’s always good to invest in timeless pieces, but don’t shy away from trendy ones. A mix of classics and quirky will help you keeps your outfits interesting.
7. Be a Self-Care Queen
Ah, self-care, at last. My one true love! When I say it’s the ultimate femininity hack, you can be assured that I mean it.
Being a self-care queen means doing good things for yourself and yourself only, and that too on a daily basis.
I could write thesis on this, but let’s just look at some self-care practices that will give you a good idea on what it means to be a self-care queen:
- Taking long bubble baths
- Sipping herbal tea before bed
- Reading books that make you happy
- Eating food that makes both your mind and body happy
- Journaling to reduce stress
- Having a good morning routine
- Doing yoga
- Going on walks in nature
- Indulging in hobbies (like painting, baking, or dancing in your living room)
As you can see, self-care is all about listening to your needs and showing yourself love daily.
So, please, if you aren’t already practicing self-care in some form, get started right after reading this post.
Do something from the above list and make yourself feel good. Nobody else can do it for you, girl.

8. Do Yoga
So, yoga is considered a form of workout, but we all know it’s so much more than that. It’s the ultimate way to bind your body, mind, and soul.
Yoga helps you destress, improve your posture, and feel good in your body, which are all important parts of owning your femininity.
Certain poses like cat-cow, goddess pose, and hip openers are especially great for enhancing your feminine energy.
Yoga also increases flexibility, which is always a nice superpower to have in your pocket.
Whenever you decide to practice yoga (maybe the coming Sunday?), pick a quiet spot with soft lighting and turn on some calming music. If you can light a scented candle nearby, that would be great!
I usually just follow along to a Yoga tutorial on YouTube to avoid bad posture. If you’re a beginner, do the same.

9. Surround Yourself with Pretty Things
Your environment is a reflection of your energy. So, if you can make your space pretty and feminine, it would be easier to be in the same energy.
Fill your space with things that bring you joy and beauty. I am talking about cute mugs, dreamy artwork, scented candles, lush plants, and books you love.
The more aesthetically pleasing you can make your room, the more you’ll love being in it.
It’s also easier to practice beauty, self-care and healthy rituals when you are in a space that is full of pretty things.

10. Embrace Your Sensuality
Sensuality is a beautiful aspect of femininity. It’s about being in tune with your senses and savoring life’s pleasures, especially on days that are ordinary.
Here’s how you can cultivate your sensuality:
- Wear fabrics that feel soft and luxurious on your skin.
- Romanticize life as much as you can.
- Take time to savor your meals and enjoy every bite.
- Dance freely, letting your body move in ways that feel good.
- Indulge in scents, whether it’s a favorite perfume or essential oils.
- Create a playlist of songs that make you feel alive and feminine.

11. Read Books About Feminine Energy
Before I even picked up a makeup brush or even learnt the ABC’s of skincare, I started reading first.
I’ve been a ferocious reader since I was a kid, and as a grown woman, books on feminine energy have been of real help in discovering my feminine side.
Books have a way of unlocking parts of ourselves we didn’t even know existed.
There are some really powerful pieces written by powerful women such as yourself, that can help you go into the depths of the power of being a woman.
Here are three life-changing reads that will make you feel deeply connected to your feminine energy:
1. Eating in the light of the moon (by anita johnston)
This is the first book that I ever read on femininity and to this day, it remains my favorite.
It is a poetic and transformative book about body image and the feminine spirit.
If you’ve ever found yourself struggling with your relationship with food, this book will help you heal your habits and love your curves and your body.

2. Women Who Run With the Wolves (By Clarissa Pinkola Estés)
Okay, this is book is bible for embracing your wild and untamed self.
It is full of folk lores and tales that connect to all things female, and I can safely say that a more profound book doesn’t exist.
Definitely something you should check out:

3. Wild Power (Alexandra Pope and Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer)
Full transparency: I am yet to read this book, but I’ve heard great things from some reviews and a friend of mine.
Wild power is all about the magic of the cycle and how a woman can awaken her femininity through her cycles.
It is apparantly full of kickass wisdom on womanhood that will make you proud of your femininity and embrace it with open arms.
Pro Tip: Make a ritual out of reading these books. Create a cozy reading nook, sip on herbal tea, and let these stories ignite your soul.
12. Let Yourself Be Wild
At its core, feminine energy is wild, untamed, and beautifully free.
It’s about being in touch with your emotions, speaking your truth, and living authentically.
To channel your wild feminine energy, you need to do things that make you feel carefree and wild.
Here are some things that I do to let myself be more free:
- Go on adventures: Travel solo, explore a new hobby, and take unplanned road trips.
- Cut toxic ties: Draining relationships and bad habits, let go of anything that dims your light.
- Speak your truth: Feminine energy is strong yet compassionate. Don’t be afraid to say what you mean, but always with kindness.
- Embrace fearlessness: Try new things and stand by yourself no matter what. Being fearless will set you free.

Okay, so those were 12 tips on how to be more feminine. Now, it’s up to you to embrace and make the best of them.
